As promised, here's the second instalment of glimpses from my 2005-2009 Project Life album. You can find the first part here. In addition to the products I mentioned in the first entry I added some Dazzle, Remembrance, Moments Like These and above all All Year Long when I documented these years. All in all I used about 60 photo pocket pages for this album, most of which were Design A. For inserts I used 8.5x11 page protectors, Design A pages cut in half (=Design H) and Design P with the right third cut off. I only had memorabilia saved from my trip to New York in 2008, in the form of tickets + postcards, but I really loved including that in the album.
When I finished this album and my 2016 photobook (which I will share photos of soon) I finally had my entire life so far documented. However, as soon as I finished this album, I decided that I will make another physical album (possibly two) for the years 2010-2013. I have those years documented in more traditional photobooks, but back then I left out most of my "everyday" photos and didn't include any journalling other than dates + titles. Because of Project Life I have learned to know better! My plan is to make a physical album for those years, focusing on the everyday photos + journalling. Since so many photos from those years are already in photobooks there won't be any pressure to include all my favourites in the new album. Starting this project also means I will get to do another physical (hybrid) album! I am very happy with using Digital Project Life for my current memory keeping and can't imagine doing it any other way, but I sure love working on a physical album every now and then!
Project Life is a memory keeping system created by Becky Higgins. You can learn more about it here.
