Project Life: My finished 2016 photobook.

My 2016 photobook is the eighth book I've ordered through Blurb and the third Project Life photobook I completed in the span of a year. You can take a look at my 2014 book here and my 2015 book here. My 2016 book is my favourite so far because it is filled with so many little details from my life in 2016 and I just know that I will love looking through it for years to come. It was the first book I completed pages for regularly throughout the year and at 231 pages it is also my thickest book so far - the previous ones have been just under 200. One of the things I love the most about memory keeping using Digital Project Life is that I never have to limit myself when it comes to the number of pages. Obviously I couldn't share photos of the entire book but you can see all the pages in digital format under this tag. Feel free to ask if you have any questions about my memory keeping process - as you can probably tell it is one of my favourite subjects to talk about :)

Technical details:
Company: Blurb.
Size: 12 x 12.
Number of pages: 231.
Design software: I make all the pages in Photoshop and create the book through Bookify on the Blurb webpage.
Paper: Matte premium.
Cover: Wrap-around.

  1. Diana, I am so in love with your book! It's just beautiful! This is my first year creating a book and not making a physical pocket page album - I'm nervous! But after seeing yours and how lovely it is, I know I can do it. Thank you so much for sharing!

  3. I do love your book! What I find especially inspiring is how you manage to make the spreads look so cohesive. I do digital project life myself, but I limit myself to one spread per week/month, so because of different lighting and situations, they rarely get that polished look. Definitely considering your approach!!

    1. Thank you, I'm so glad you found my book inspiring! I love the idea of the weekly format, but I don't think I would be able to stick to it in the long run. There are weeks when I don't take that many photos and weeks when I have lots. Also, with the monthly format I can mix and match photos from different weeks that go together :)

  4. Oh my heck, one of the most beautiful photo year books I've ever seen! Are you a photographer? Is that why there's so many nature pictures? Do you have tips for taking them?

  5. Diana, I am having so much fun looking through your fantastic web site and all your beautiful project life pages. Thank you so much for sharing your books and knowledge. Would you mind saying which type of Project Life design template you used for this book? I love the big picture space on the left but I wonder if they no longer do this as I didnt see it?

  6. How did you incorporate the ticket stubs? Did you take pictures of them or scan them in? Thanks!
