Project Life: My finished 2016 photobook.

Project Life: 2016 album cover.

Project Life: December 2016.

I had grand plans to update this little blog of mine more frequently this month, but as usual life got in the way... With that said, I'm finally sharing my Project Life spreads for December. I would say better late than never but it might not be true in this case because I am sure everyone is over Christmas photos and documenting the holiday season at this point ;)

Project Life: November 2016.

Here are my spreads for the month of November which is finished a couple of days ago. Only one month left of 2016 before I can order my photo book, I can't believe how fast this year has gone by! I used quite a lot of different products for these ones so I'm very pleased that they came out looking relatively cohesive :)

Project Life: October 2016.

Here are my spreads for the month of October at last! I actually finished them several weeks ago but I've been focusing on my (physical/hybrid) 2005-2009 Project Life album these past few weeks and pretty much forgot about everything else. I've just been having so much fun with it! Might have something to do with the fact that I've been using this awesome new core kit you might have heard about for most of it.

Project Life: September 2016.

Today I'm sharing my spreads for the month of September. I actually finished most of these several weeks ago, but I felt like the colours and styles were all over the place and wanted to change things around to make the spreads a bit more cohesive. I am not super strict about all of the spreads matching or anything, but I like each month's spreads to have some sort of connecting thought behind them, even though it doesn't always work out. Finally in the last few days I swapped out some cards and recoloured others and arrived at a result that feels good enough. It's not perfect, but as we all know, done is better than perfect when it comes to memory keeping :)

Amber LaBau Creative Team.

As you might have seen on Instagram, I was chosen to be a member of Amber LaBau's Creative Team for 2016-2017 earlier this month. I actually hadn't planned on joining another Creative Team until possibly next year, but when the opportunity arose I decided that it would be a fun challenge. I'm so excited to be part of this group of talented ladies :)

The first layout I completed was shared in this entry over on Amber's blog. I used her stunning Golden kit which is just perfect for autumn to document a little day trip my boyfriend and I went on. Since then I've put together another layout (about the same day) using the same kit.

Project Life: August 2016.

August was filled with many different + random happenings. It took me some time to figure out how to fit everything that I wanted to document into my Project Life spreads, but now they're all done. As I've mentioned earlier this year I don't care that much about the number of spreads for any given month, I just fill up as many as I need. One thing I've noticed is that I fill up WAY more spreads now that I'm documenting my life as I go than before, when I would wait for months (or years). At this rate this year's album will be over 250 pages long and in the past they've been around 190 pages long. Goes to show how much easier it is to preserve memories when they're still fresh on your mind! Here are my nine spreads for August:

Project Life: Greece 2016.

Today I thought I'd share my Project Life pages about our trip to Greece this summer. I used last summer's Summer Manifesto kit by Paislee Press almost exclusively for these pages, and it was such a fun challenge to come up with so many different ways to combine the papers and elements! I also loved creating my own journalling + filler cards, something I haven't done that much so far. This kit is a great example of why I love everything that Liz Tamanaha creates, all her kits are so versatile + work so well together!

Project Life: July 2016.

This morning I finally had time to add the finishing touches to my July spreads. I often put together the pages without journalling first and fill that in later, sometimes not until the month is over when I have more perspective on what I want to include. This year I've been keeping notes on my phone about daily events - just some short keywords about each day, and it has made it so much easier to keep track of everything! I wish I had started doing this sooner. In any case, here are my eleven spreads for the month of July. (These do not include our trip to Greece which I have yet to finish and will be sharing separately.)

Project Life: June 2016.

June was a wonderful summer month, filled with lots of beautiful summer memories to document. I ended up with thirteen whole spreads for my album. This is one of the main reasons why I don't do physical Project Life - I would feel so restricted sticking to a certain number of spreads per month, and if I didn't, a month like this one alone would fill up almost a third of a 12x12 album!

Project Life: May 2016.

Today I'm finally sharing my May spreads. Ten whole spreads, which says something about what a busy month it was. I actually finished these a while ago but since I included some cards from the new Hello Lovely Edition, which is released in digital format today, I've had to wait to share them. In any case, here they are at last.

Project Life: April 2016.

Tonight I'm finally getting around to sharing my April spreads. I completed them a while ago but I used a random mix of products this month so finding the links to all the sources took some time...

Project Life: March 2016.

I finished my Project Life spreads for March a little bit later than the previous months because I decided to focus on finishing my 2014 photo book (which should arrive in the mail sometime next week, by the way) first. Now, 2016 has my undivided attention again. March was a rather busy month and I filled up eight spreads.

Project Life: February 2016.

Yesterday I finished my Project Life spreads for the month of February. I love that the process I've developed over the past months makes it so quick & easy to stay up to date with my monthly documenting.

Project Life: Prague.

Here are my Project Life spreads about my trip to Prague in January :) I used the Everyday Edition exclusively for these. I especially love using it to document trips. The templates are by Valorie Wibbens. As you might see I've included some memorabilia in these spreads. I started doing that when I documented my trip to Croatia last year and I just love how convenient it is. I simply scan my memorabilia and then I toss out the physical items. Sometimes I even scan it using my iPhone as I go, so I don't even need to bring it with me back home.

Project Life: January 2016.

I thought I'd share my Project Life layouts from January (except for the ones about Prague which I haven't finished yet).

Project Life: My memory keeping plans for 2016.

Project Life: 2016 title page.

As promised I bring you my 2016 title page. It was shared on Becky's blog yesterday. Just like with last year's title page (which I completed not that many months ago) I kept it simple. I experimented with some more colour at first but then I went back to my favourite edition which is, of course, the Everyday Edition, because you can never go wrong with that. I did throw in the little camera from the Project 52 2016 Edition (which I love as well) to spice it up a bit though. I have yet to decide whether I'm going to keep using the digital page protectors from Valorie Wibbens which I used for my 2015 album in 2016 or not. I quite like this simpler look (and in any case this is what my contributions to the PL Creative Team will look like since there are no official PL digital page protectors). One thing that I am certain of though is that I will never do round corners, but I've felt "certain" of things when it comes to scrapbooking before only to change my mind later, so I should probably never say never ;)
